Technology changes what is possible.
People determine what’s worthwhile.
I help organisations create digital products, services and businesses that generate meaningful value for people — and sustainable value for business.
Growth, efficiency and profit matter. But a balance sheet doesn’t capture everything a business gives to people — or takes from them.
Technology can create livelihoods, widen access and strengthen communities. It can also shift costs onto people whose lives never appear in the calculation.
Perhaps it’s naive. But I believe a company’s success should also be measured by what it makes better in our lives, and for whom.
That’s the work I want to do: build useful products and viable businesses around things that matter to people.
Explore where changing technology, behaviour and markets create opportunities for new products, services and business models.
Prototype, test, learn and build. Move from assumptions to evidence without losing sight of the human or business problem.
Rethink existing products, services and ways of working through the combined lens of people, business and technology.
As one of two founders and COO/CPO, I helped take a marketplace for home chefs from an idea to a validation MVP, user-led iteration and a native app. We onboarded over 200 chefs and expanded from London to Barcelona.
The bigger opportunity: helping people turn something they loved into a livelihood, and connecting communities around food.
I joined as Tesseract moved from startup towards scale-up, working primarily in COO and CSO roles. The ambition was to make sophisticated financial services more broadly accessible.
That meant connecting strategy, operations, product, security, regulation and trust as one complete package that could be offered via a simple interface.
I led a team of software developers and service designers working on digital initiatives for established organisations. The work included internal digital tools for Nokia and Konecranes, and platforms and services for UNICEF.
Creating change in large organisations means aligning stakeholders, building internal buy-in and helping people adopt new ways of working. Understanding that context is as important as the technology itself.
These names reflect my professional history at Wunderman Thompson, not endorsements of Wuoristo.

I’m Leo Wuoristo. Across roughly twenty years, I’ve worked as a founder, product leader, strategist, operator and consultant — building from zero and helping established organisations change.
That breadth shapes how I work. A beautiful experience without a viable business doesn’t last. A sound strategy that never becomes a product doesn’t matter.
The interesting work happens where people, business and technology meet.
Just because we can build something doesn’t mean we should.
Let’s focus on what actually improves our lives.
